RESCUE Diver

The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to help you learn to consider the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your fellow divers.

It will expand your knowledge and experience beyond the recreational level.
You will have the confidence to address potential problems BEFORE they cause an accident and the skills and confidence to deal with emergency situations .

The PADI Rescue Course will redefine the way you dive.

During the open water sessions, you’ll cover:

  • Self-rescue and diver stress
  • dive first aid
  • underwater problems
  • missing diver procedures
  • egress (exits)
  • surfacing the unconscious diver
  • emergency management and equipment
  • swimming and non-swimming assists
  • first aid procedures for pressure related accidents
  • dive accident scenarios
  • panicked diver response
  • in water artificial respiration

To undertake this course you need to be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver (or have an equivalent qualifying certification from another organization). You also need to be at least 15 years old (or 12 to qualify as a PADI Junior Rescue Diver). Rescue Divers must have also successfully completed a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months.The Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) courses meet these requirements.

MEDICAL:

Anyone with a good level of fitness can practice scuba diving.
However, some medical conditions such as high blood pressure, heart, lung and back problems or surgeries done in the last 5 years, could prevent you from participating.
Before signing up for a PADI course, please check and fill your the standard Medical Statement Form .
Every answer have to be “NO”.
A YES require a medical certificate, released by a Doctor with a Diving and Hyperbaric speciality.
We recommend taking the form to your doctor for completion before you travel to Spain.
